1980 Bajaj Chetak

Back in the late 70's early 80's, Bajaj America Incorporated (no affiliation with Bajaj USA) imported the Bajaj Chetak 2-stroke into the US for a couple years. Just found this one out near Columbus, OH in excellent shape. Needs a tune up, and a few miscellaneous parts, but otherwise in great condition.

Based on the Vespa Sprint, with most parts interchangeable, the Bajaj Chetak has the small "volcano" type speedo and a monster glove box. 6 volt (and a reputation for weak ignition like the Sprint), with a 2 port 145cc 2-stroke engine and 10" wheels. US DOT style turn signals, front and rear, and US spec tailight.

Yeah, it was a very loooooong drive!
